Memorial

What a weekend!!! First of all I was super excited to NOT have to go to school for 4 days straight! so I could spend time with my little boog! Second, I couldnt wait to go camping with my family up to the ranch were I grew up and cant wait for Rydge to have the adventures that I had!
Im going to start from the beginning, Friday I took him to his 6 Month check up! WOW! 6 Months, I cant believe it. And he is getting SO SO SO SO big!!! (Ill do a HUGE 6 month post once I get his picts done!) Quick update, he weighs 15 pds. And he is 27 inches long!!! May I add the average height he should be right now is 25, and he is 27!!! He is very healthy and all boy! Anyway, I picked up my mom and we headed to the ranch. Were later that evening Whit and her friend came up!

Saturday morning rolls around and Rydge had his first taste of pancakes.. he loved them.. Then we all went for a wheeler ride, ate lunch and rydge loves vanilla pudding! We went for a little hike around the ranch and showed boogie off to everyone!! We seriously should of taken a picture of all the babies that were there, haha, sorta funny! hell have LOTS of cousins to play with. The weather was beautiful and sunny! Until about 5 when the stupid wind had to start blowing :(. We had a huge dinner with everyone, My grandparents watched Rydge while my mom, whit, kota and I went for a ride to pine park, we took some rough back roads to get there but it was a blast! That afternoon my Uncle Lyman and his family arrived and him and his wife went with us. They have 3 kids also. My Grandma and her sisters, along with Pam me and my mom went to the cemetery and put flowers around all the graves. The cemetery looked so pretty with ALL the flowers people take out there. I wish the cemetery could look like that all the time. When we got back we hung out and visited. Rydge took a bath and loved it. My grandparents and mom were so floored about how much he loves his baths. They got a good laugh out of it!!! We all went to bed pretty early because we were so tired! non of us slept the night before because we all FROZE! We got smart and turned the heater on, we slept great that night!!! Rydge even slept in till 8. It was wonderful!!!!

 Sunday morning comes around, and its freeeeezing!! very over cast, windy, cold!!! We all ate breakfast, and it starts to rain, so Whit my mom and her friend Kota pack up and head out.. shortly after that Lyman and his clan move out. My grandpa had to go to church since they are librarians and couldnt find a sub. My grandma and her sisters went to visit their brother, Clark that lives here in Etown. So, I decided to pack up and head home, when it starts to SNOW! Ya..Lovelly!! Rydge was happy to be home. I was sad, because the weekend was over :( But, it was a great weekend!

I LOVE the ranch, cant wait to spend more weekends up there!!! I was sad I didnt get any pictures of Boogs and my grandpa together with there hats! haha.. But, There will be other chances. Hope you all had a great weekend!!!!

3rd grade

3rd grade!!!!
 Well, as you know I am in the block this summer. And while in the block you have to student teach for a week. Well we went to Horizon Elementary which is in the middle of freakin NO where. I got lost the first day.. but it is surrounded by a cute little community!! Anyway I was assigned to Mrs. Wingers 3rd grade class. I observed Monday, then Tuesday-Thursday I taught. Winger was in the classroom Tuesday and just sorta observed me, then Wed and Thurs I was solo..on my own.. no teacher... and it was FABULOUS!!!! I so enjoyed it!!! The kids enjoyed it, and I wasnt as nervous as I thought I would have been. Its SOO much better teaching when you dont have the teachers there observing you, and you having to worry about if your doing it right, doing things ok, etc. I could be myself, bring out my personality the kids even liked it better because I engaged with them better. I took my time on the subjects and had discussion which was AWESOME!!! Because, you dont know how hard it is to come up with discussion, and questions when the teacher is there.. just of being scared if you dont ask the right questions. anyway.
I had to be mean at sometimes, which was fine because the students knew I "meant business". ;)! which you have to or the students will walk all over you. When it came time for me to leave and say good bye I actually got a little teary eyed. Each one of them left a print in my life, and they taught me so much!!! I loved it. The kids each had there own personalities, I had one little boy who started crying because he didnt understand the math I was teaching, well.. he wouldnt let me move on until he understood.. so I had to come up with different ways to try and teach it??? FINALLY mrs. winger helped me out (thank goodness). One little gal acted like she was in her 20's not even kidding!!! It was so funny..
Friday, my last day, Winger did most the teaching because there wasnt much to do, I said good bye, they all gave me hugs and begged me to stay. Im glad they liked me, and they actually learned from me. After this last LONG WEEK I am FOR SURE going into the right profession!!! and soon will be teaching!! (I hope)! ha!!!

....On a side note, I missed Boogs so much this week!! Long days, 7-5 everyday :(. When I got home I was tired, exhausted, worn out and all I wanted to do was snuggle with my boogie!!! Poor Brent, I had boogs sleep with us because I just wanted to snuggle him. lol!!! But, I am back to the original schedule this week! Yay!! Also, Boog turns 6 MONTHS on Tuesday!! Ill do a FULL update, he is growing so much its crazy!!!!!

Mothers Day

I cant believe I had my FIRST mothers day!!! IT was a GREAT day!!! I feel so special to be this little mans mom. He is everything to me. We celebrated the day by me getting breakfast in bed :) and sleeping in till 8!! I SOOO could of slept longer, but I wanted to stuff pancakes in mouth. haha! Then we went to St. G for dinner with my Grandparents at Olive Garden...YUMMY! And ended the day at the in laws for dessert and some visiting!! I had a wonderful day and Rydge made it that much more special!!!


Can YOU say DEVOTED!!!! I have started school, and can I say it is THE hardest thing ever!! I HATE leaving Rydge during the day. I know its for the best and I only have 7 more weeks to go, but its killing me. This week especially since I am at horizon elem. teaching! and the days are long.. 7-5 Pm. :(. Yes, I probably drive my sweet mother in law crazy by all the texts and calls I send! I cant help it. I also am SOO freakin DEVOTED that is sorta sad... I am still nursing, and I intend to still nurse, so during the day what do I do?? I Pump.. anywhere??? In my car, today I pumped in a "Vault" room.. its for storage?? I have pumped in a conference room which is tons better because no one can hear the motor running. Today in the vault room every person that walked by giggled.. I felt SOOO retarted!!! BUT. I guess I gotta do what I gotta do. And this week will be over before I know it, and a knew week will start. I am keeping up on the stocked bottles, usually whatever Tammy uses that day I refill it. So, NOOO formula for RYDGEY! YAYYY!!!! He is eating some foods, squash, green beans and today he had peas. Also the rice cereal (oatmeal and rice) so he is staying fed and happy!! I will do a big SHPILL on that next week.. he will be 6MONTHS old. Ah!!! Crazy!! Anyway, just a little catch up since I havent in a while.

Sweet Potatoes Anyone??

OOOOOO!!!! My little baby is growing up!!! I fed him his FIRST feeding..(I am counting it.. he has little tastes here and there of other things, thanks to me, and the grandparents ;)..) BUT! I count this one as his real actual feeding. Sweet poratoes. he LOVED LOVED LOVED them! He only had a few bites, but that is normal!! I read it in my Super Baby Food! Which I recommend to EVERY mama out there! (especially if you are making your own foods, which I am!) Anyway he loved them, he would grab the spoon and just suck on the spoon. He is so DARN cute!!!

The Greats!

Rydge and I were lucky enough to drive to Mesquite and meet up with my Great Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol! They live in San Jose California, and so we don't get to see them very often. I was ECSTATIC when they called me and told me they were in Vegas for my Uncle Jim's 50th high School Reunion, and they wanted to meet up with us. Unfortunately Brent couldn't make it, but Rydgey boy and I went and had a blast! It was SOO good to see them. I missed them even more when I saw them. I am so excited to say we will be heading to cali in July for a week to visit! Rydge was very fond of these two, he is quite the happy boy. We love you Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol! Well be seeing you soon!!

On a side note I have to tell you that Rydge acts like he is going to be mobile SOON! haha.. He is scooting and rolling everywhere. I can lay him down on the floor and do my thing, come back to check on him and he has moved or gone in circles. It is so funny. He is a busy busy boy!! Im scared when he can start crawling, Im gonna have to kid proof my house!!!

Easter!!!!

While the little man is sleeping I thought I would do an Easter update!! We went camping with the streets, terry's, Bowlers, and my father and mother in law down in Gunlock! The weather was AMAZING and warm. Until Saturday night it ran through out the night, then Sunday it was sunny again. It was Rydges first time camping, and his first Easter!!! He for sure got SPOILED by the bunny!!! I cant wait till next year, he will actually know what is going on with "the easter bunny". When we got home, Rydge had a package from his Grandma and Grandpa Kazaminjad!!!! he got even double spoiled!!!

SOOO Spoiled!!!!

We had SOO much fun, Rydge had TONS of "Firsts"! Shooting, Wheeling, camping, sink bath, easter! Poor little guy did get attacked by the allergy bug :(.. I HATE allergies! Anywho!!!! We Loved Easter!!!! And Camping!!!! Rydge for sure LOVED it as well.. I think he just like being outside and having SO much to look at.

What to do?!

I am starting summer school in just a couple weeks, and I am stressin...Flippin out!!!! SCARED!!! about it ALL! I dont want to leave my baby!.. and I dont know what to do about feeding?? I am still nursing, and want to continue to nurse. I am a strong believer in it, no offense to those who use formula, but I am worried when I go to school I cant keep up on the stocking of breast milk. No matter how much I pump, how much I get stocked up I dont know what this schedule will be like?? I will for sure keep nursing, morning and night, but I might have to do both, breast milk and formula :(. How do I not feel "guilty" or "sad" or "worried" about it?? I wanted to nurse for a full year (at least till I can just go straight to whole milk). Cheaper first of all, and I like nursing and think he gets more nutrition that way, plus it "bonds" us together and I LOVE it. Maybe thats why Im STRESSING over it so badly. I know TONS and TONS of working moms who do both, or even just pump. What if I cant do it. Is it bad if I want to start him on baby foods so I dont have to feed him formula? I mean, my schedule is busy, M-F 8-5. Its pretty much like a full time job for 2 months. :(... now I know why moms want to be stay at home moms!! The bond you have between your baby is HUGE!!!! I will probably end up doing both, nursing and formula. 1 more month and I can start him on foods.. Then I'll probably feel better about it all. Why does it have to be so hard.. Maybe im just being a baby! I cant help it!! Anyway, Easter post coming soon!!! We had SOO much fun camping. Rydgey loved it.

Run For Kids!!!

My FIRST 5k!!!!!!!
The run for kids! I am actually glad that this was my first 5k...walk! I think the next one I do I am going to run/ walk it!! It was rainy and cold. These kids were troopers!!! They did great. Tammy ended up carrying Allison on her shoulders, Haley was in the stroller, Hunter walked it! And Rydge, I held him for the first half mile then he fell asleep and he stayed asleep the rest of the way! It was so fun!!! We came in last, because we walked with the kids, but it was a great experience!!! We "Ran" for gunner, my nephew that passed away from his heart problem. All the money raised for this run was donated to the Learning Center for Kids, and what a great donation! Plus, it felt great to do it for such a great cause!!! Cant wait for the next one!!!
