An 80th Birthday & A Reunion!

This last week we had the Bracken Reunion up in Pine Valley at the Lions Lodge!! and it was BEAUTIFUL, and so much fun. Any excuse to go camping for a few days is always a great thing!!! We got up there late Thursday night. Brent couldn't stay the night because he had to work Friday. So Rydge and I got to hang out, and let me tell you..Rydge defiantly got his miles in while we were there!!! He was crawling ALL over the place, in between the tables, back and froth and all over!!! He wore holes in his footy pajamas. He just had the biggest smile on his face! He was a very entertaining boy...to everyone!!

We decided his poor little knees hurt from crawling, so he started to stink bug! And he moves pretty fast stinkin buggin it!!! :)

Friday rolls around, and I got to watch Haley, Hunter and Ally while kirk was at work and Tam was in St. G doing a few things. (Tam's Grandma hunt passed away, so she was pretty busy this weekend with family, and funeral arrangments.) That morning we went for a hike down to the resevoir.. So pretty, and peaceful!! Then we went back to camp and the kids played with all the other kids, and just ran themselves down!!! Rydge was busy covering ground by roaming everywhere!! I love that I can let my boy get dirty and he is soo happy!

Evening rolls around and Kirk gets back from work, a few others arrive and set up there camps! Aub and Meya came up to camp.. I was so excited!!! And then Brent arrived, we all hung out, and laughed, chatted and enjoyed the nice cool weather. It was so nice, we got a little chilly at night.. sweater weather baby!! Im so ready for fall!! 

Saturday morning Brent and I load up the babe and head back to Enterprise. Brent had to work, he actually had to go change a tire up in Bear Valley, and I got to go to my Grandma Thomas' 80th birthday!!!  I cant believe she is that old...She looks great, and is still in awesome shape, and living life to the fullest!! She is an amazing Grandma, and I hope her day was special and celebrated by all her loved ones!!! I got to see cousins I havent seen in Years, and all there little babies, and kids! Such a fun day! I Love you Grandma Thomas!

Once the birthday was over, I met brent at home and we headed back up to Pine Valley.. Wahoo!!! Once we got there we just visited with everyone, they started dinner at 6.. Yummy, then had the auction and then we all just visited some more!!! Such a great time!!!! And great to see everyone!

Sunday morning, we had a yummy breakfast, and made the kids all get together for a photo op! haha.. They are soo cute!! I had a blast, and wished it wasnt over already!!! The time goes by so fast, but we all enjoyed it! And cant wait for next years reunion.

24th and Terry Reunion!

Oh I love the 24th of July!!! Its my Grandma's family reunion. We all gather up at the ranch and have a huge shin dig!!! Whit, Rydge and I went up Thursday with my Grandparents and came home Monday. The weather was HOT, but nice at night!! It was a little chilly at night that we wore warm clothes. We did freeze sleeping, luckily I had Rydge to cuddle up to to keep warm!

It was the cutest thing!! Rydge would fall asleep every wheeler ride we would go on.

Friday night they had a movie night, which was SO cool. They put a tarp on the barn and with the projector we watched Harry and the Hendersons, We lasted about 20 min. then we were done. Rydge was getting cold, and tired, I was worn out! so we all went to bed!!! Saturday is when ALL the festivities started!!! Bright and early, I woke up at 5, headed back into town for the 5k walk.. It was fun!! I met up with the girls and did it, our goal next year is to run it!

Then I met my sister and Rydge at home, and we got ready and walked over to my dads who lives a block away and watched the parade!!! Oh my goodness, Rydge was NOT a fan of the sirens on the fire trucks! He would start to cry, and hold onto you so tight! I felt so bad for him.. Finally the trucks were gone and he enjoyed an otter pop!!! (He just sucks the juice out of it.. doesnt actually eat the Popsicle.)

Once the parade was over, we went back up tot he ranch for the Terry Reunion festivites! We had a raffle, dinner then and auction. I didnt win anything this year but my Grandma won the CUTEST witch that Pam made. I was jelouse.. I told her we would have to share it. haha. 

Sunday rolls around and we just relax and enjoy the time together. That night we roasted smores with my Uncle Lymans kids, 

 and by the end of that night we were so worn out, and exhausted we crashed, and Monday morning packed up and headed home. Monday night we all went to Tuachan, The Little Mermaid! It was AMAZING!!!! Hope everyone else had a wonderful 24th of July weekend!!! Rydge did turn 8 months on the 24th, so tomorrow Ill do a big post about that!!!

Guilty Pleasures

Ok! So we ALL have our little secret "Guilty Pleasures" that we dont really want to admit to others, do to the fact that they're things we dont WANT to share because of what other people might say, or do... Well, I have decided to list my top 4!!! There are probably more, but this is what I can think of. :P

**BTW: You cant HOLD any of these things against me!!!!! ha!

* I absolutly love musicals. I grew up watching the old time western musicals, and now I love going to the musical plays.. Tuachan is amazing.. they make me leave wanting more.

* Britney Spears... yup! I like her music. I grew up with her, and have always jammed out to the B. Spears :S.. In fact when I hear her songs on the radio I turn up my volume and have a little private jam session in my car.

*Sushi. I get soo excited when I go to town with Sharlee, becasue she introduced me to the sushi rolls. And They are so GOOOOD! When we went to Cali we went to a sushi bar, and I was so excited to try the different rolls. Growing up I never cared for the sushi roll, but once Shar made me try it, I couldnt get enough!! I have been a "closet sushi lover" for a couple years now. MMM Sushi Rolls.

*Sadly, I am hooked to Jersey Shore.. Why I have NO IDEA?? But, for some reason I cant NOT watch. Ah.. I cant believe I admitted that one.

Ah.. Cali! Rydge and I flew to Sacramento this last week to visit family!! We got to see grandma and grandpa K! Their last name is so hard to spell.. so they get K ;). And my sisters!! Rydgey's aunties!!! Which Rydge got spoiled SOOO bad!!!! haha.. I got demoted ;). We had a blast.. Went swimming, had a huge BBQ and had the rest of the family come up, celebrated my Aunt Carols birthday, Spent a day with My Aunt Jen, Finally got see Debra and meet her 2 girls, who are absolutely adorable!  and over all just had the time of our lives!!!! Rydge was SUCH a good traveler, he had so much fun. I was happy that he was still himself when we got there. The last couple days we were there he started getting real adventurous and would crawl to different rooms and play. Cant wait to go back in December!!! WE LOVE YOU ALL!!!

a WHOLE LOTTA everything!

YAY!!! My internet is hooked back up.. Now, I have SO much to blog about!! But, I think for the sake of time Im just going to do the highlights, and then ill get to every little odd and end thing later!

JUNE*
Can I get a WAHOO!!!! I am FINISHED, FINIETO with the block. I am officially done with school! I now have my teaching degree!! The catch, I just need to get certified and thats were my student teaching comes in, and hopefully ill be doing that in the near future! But.. Rydge and I made it 8 long whole weeks of not being with each other. Which I think was probably good for the both of us. 

Rydge and I watched Haley's little softball group play this summer!!! They are so cute, they did great!!

SHOUT OUT!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY! June 11th, was my sisters 16th BIRTHDAY!!! Uh.. ya, I said 16th!! I feel so old!!! We went to lunch and I spoiled her with lots of fun car stuff, and those awesome star glasses that she seems so enthused to wear. :). My grandparents gave her a car for her birthday, she will get her actual license this winter! I am teaching her to drive, but for now.. clear the roads because its a little scary ;)! I love you Corky poo, you are growing into a beautiful lady, and so strong! You have the whole world in front of you and you will conquer it. Happy birthday!!! 

FIRST SWIM DAY!!!!!!

Rydge LOVED swimming!!! He would get so excited he would start kicking his legs and making his excited face!! The funny thing is, he has a sound that goes with that face, it is the funniest thing ever!! He loved swimming!!! We took a million pictures.. I couldnt help myself!

JULY*

Happy 4th!! We had a great weekend, went to Pine Valley to play with Brents Mom, Brian and the Brothers and Sisters. It was great to see everyone, Its been so LONG! We ate dinner, visited, ate some more, visited, and went on some ranger rides! :). It was a nice day. Then that Sunday, Monday I cant remember, we had a HUGE BBQ here at the house, invited friends and family and just pigged out on LOTS and lots of food!!! What else do you do on the 4th. We had fire works that night, sparklers are the best. But, our friends bought some fun ones and the neighbors came out to watch them. It was a great Fourth.

Valley Tire Repair**
Brent and  Kirks new tire buisness, it is up and running..OFFICIALLY!!! They are staying busy and loving it! So.. if you need tires, fix its, or whatever.. CALL THEM!!!! They are great, cheep, and amazing!!! ;)!!!



Feels Good to be back!!!

Its Official!!! Brent and his dad have their own Tire Shop, In Beryl. And so far they have been super busy!!! Which is awesome.

Kirk has wanted to start his own buisness for a while now, and finally he did it. He got his buisness license, his lowns and everything went through. They have been working on the shop day and night for the past 2 weeks and finally they are getting everything set up. The shop is actually looking like a work shop. We are pretty excited, and are thankful for all the loyal costumers that kirk and Brent have.


So.. if you EVER need a tire man, call Kirk or Brent at Valley Tire!!! :)!!!

PS.. I am a HUGE slacker, and it doesnt help that our internet has been down :( but I have LOTS to update on.. clear back from Fathers Day, to birthdays, to 4th of july, camping, and trips.. SO I promise, once my internet is working ill have everyting updated.. Plus my poor scrapbooking is getting so neglected :(.. GR!
