a Tu-Tu.

Well, I am having the crafty bug latelly, and I have a few mini projects going.. but I finally got done with the tu-tu I am making for one of my nieces. I have decided to start christmas early, and im loving it! Its keeping me busy. anyway this one is black and purple, and im gonna do a pink and black one for her sister! I am pretty proud of myself!!! haha!!

I had to add this pict..Boogie is so cute!! He liked the feel of the fabric.

Mini Road Trip!

Well this past weekend Rydge, Carrie, Lilly and I road up to Springville for a wedding that was in Payson and a baby blessing that was in Orem!
We all loaded up Saturday early morning, and headed for SLC. Rydge, is NOT a great traveler, and I thought maybe if I bought him a booster seat he may like it better just for the fact he could see everything. well, I thought wrong! ha!!! He did better than I thought he would, but he still was a little fussy.. But, we made it! And I loved how Carrie and I got time to catch up, talk, and spend some time together since she was my Best Friend in HS. Anyway, we arrived in good timing, went to the Provo Mall and killed some time, met up with my grandparents at the hotel, and got ready!
The wedding was a college room mate of both Carrie and I. Brook!! The reception area was just gorgeouse, flowers everywhere, great set up..and yummy chocolate covered strawberrys but the best part was seeing Brook in her STUNNING wedding dress. Ah.. she made me cry!!! I was super excited I got to see her, and she looked amazing, and so happy!! I am so excited for her!! We stayed for a bit and visited.. I also saw Haley one of my other room mates and good friend!!! Who lives in hurricane and for some reason I havent seen her in forever!! We called it an early night, just for the fact we have drug 2 little kids around all day, and 2 moms who were ready to relax and sleep!!! Congrads again Brookie, I love you,and am SOOO stinkin happy for you!!!

The next morning, we slept in, had some breakfast, went for a little swim.. which Rydgey just loved! We got ready and headed to Orem for the baby blessing! We got to meet Declan, and I was so excited to see Jamie! (You look GREAT by the way!!!) and I got to love on him for a bit, and its so crazy to think Rydge was ever that tiny!! Seriously... made me a little sad. This weekend I did cry alot.. When Declan was getting blessed I started to cry, all I thought about was Rydge getting blessed and the feeling I had and I couldnt help but let the tears roll down my face! Such a great and exciting feeling, and I am so happy I was apart of that and could be there for John, Jamie and the little Cutie!

FYI: Dont you LOVE how Rydge is never looking at the camera.. his head is always turned! ..Really Boogs!

After the blessing we took a little detour and visited Carries grandparents for a little bit, While we were there, Rydge did get quit the shiner under his eye..through out the evening it turned purple, blue. poor guy! He had a little accident and hit the hard wood floors pretty hard! But, he was fine after some mama loves! Shortly afer that we headed for home!! Both kids fell asleep for the first 2 hours which was AWESOME! Then once we hit Beaver Rydge started whinning on and off till we came out of Cedar, then into the mountain about 30 min away from Etown he passed out, then there was Lilly who kept screaming Mom, and playing games!!! Carrie and I were so DONE! haha.. we were ready to be home!!!!!
It was a prettty fun, short trip!!! And were glad to see our friend get married, and our friends baby blessed. And spend time with my grandparents, and each other! It was quit the fun mini road trip!!!  Thank you Carrie and Lilly for going with us!!!!!

Cookie Dough Cheese Ball

COOKIE DOUGH CHEESE BALL

...And YES, you will be ADDICTED!!

 

 

You will need:

8 Oz pkg- Cream Cheese Softened

1/2 c. butter, softened

1/4 t. vanilla extract

1/2 c. powdered sugar

3 T brown sugar, packed

1 c. mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 c. pecans, finely chopped

Cookies of any kind, graham crackers, vanilla wafers.

Blend the first 3 ingredients until creamy, add powdered sugar and brown sugar, blending well. Fold in chocolate chips, cover and refrigerate 3 to 4 hours.

Shape dough into a ball; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm. Roll in pecans before serving. Makes about 3 cups.

When serving, have some of your favorite cookies to dip in the cookie dough cheese ball. 

This is SOOO yummy, I  made it for a little jewlery party that I had at my house, and the ladies LOVED it!

An 80th Birthday & A Reunion!

This last week we had the Bracken Reunion up in Pine Valley at the Lions Lodge!! and it was BEAUTIFUL, and so much fun. Any excuse to go camping for a few days is always a great thing!!! We got up there late Thursday night. Brent couldn't stay the night because he had to work Friday. So Rydge and I got to hang out, and let me tell you..Rydge defiantly got his miles in while we were there!!! He was crawling ALL over the place, in between the tables, back and froth and all over!!! He wore holes in his footy pajamas. He just had the biggest smile on his face! He was a very entertaining boy...to everyone!!

We decided his poor little knees hurt from crawling, so he started to stink bug! And he moves pretty fast stinkin buggin it!!! :)

Friday rolls around, and I got to watch Haley, Hunter and Ally while kirk was at work and Tam was in St. G doing a few things. (Tam's Grandma hunt passed away, so she was pretty busy this weekend with family, and funeral arrangments.) That morning we went for a hike down to the resevoir.. So pretty, and peaceful!! Then we went back to camp and the kids played with all the other kids, and just ran themselves down!!! Rydge was busy covering ground by roaming everywhere!! I love that I can let my boy get dirty and he is soo happy!

Evening rolls around and Kirk gets back from work, a few others arrive and set up there camps! Aub and Meya came up to camp.. I was so excited!!! And then Brent arrived, we all hung out, and laughed, chatted and enjoyed the nice cool weather. It was so nice, we got a little chilly at night.. sweater weather baby!! Im so ready for fall!! 

Saturday morning Brent and I load up the babe and head back to Enterprise. Brent had to work, he actually had to go change a tire up in Bear Valley, and I got to go to my Grandma Thomas' 80th birthday!!!  I cant believe she is that old...She looks great, and is still in awesome shape, and living life to the fullest!! She is an amazing Grandma, and I hope her day was special and celebrated by all her loved ones!!! I got to see cousins I havent seen in Years, and all there little babies, and kids! Such a fun day! I Love you Grandma Thomas!

Once the birthday was over, I met brent at home and we headed back up to Pine Valley.. Wahoo!!! Once we got there we just visited with everyone, they started dinner at 6.. Yummy, then had the auction and then we all just visited some more!!! Such a great time!!!! And great to see everyone!

Sunday morning, we had a yummy breakfast, and made the kids all get together for a photo op! haha.. They are soo cute!! I had a blast, and wished it wasnt over already!!! The time goes by so fast, but we all enjoyed it! And cant wait for next years reunion.
